The owners have put in the hard work and transformed the previously impassable bush by creating a lovely circular trail through the forest, with 4 bridges and mulch in the low areas. The forest is filled with ferns creating a unique enchanting atmosphere. There are huge patches of white, red and pink trilliums as well as many scattered throughout. It takes 10 minutes to walk around the 0.7 km trail, and there is room for a few interior trails or run with the vendors idea of creating a boardwalk across the middle to the southeast corner to enjoy more of the wetland and abundant bird life. The trail is also traversable by the golf cart, riding mower and Argo. The 'East Lawn' area on the far side of the property with tiger lilies, wild black raspberries, willows and walnuts is a favourite spot for a picnic! The small stream runs year round and is quite captivating. A second intermittent stream enters from the north side to join the other stream.

- Loads of birds and animals love our property too: many feathered friends, if you are a birder you will identify many more but the owners have enjoyed seeing wild turkeys, grouse, Baltimore Orioles, numerous varieties of woodpeckers including Northern Flicker woodpeckers, Downy woodpeckers, Red-Headed Woodpeckers, nesting Canadian geese in the wet land, blue jays, mourning doves, cat birds, hawks, and a resident screech owl who visits every fall. Deer, raccoons, opossums and even a beaver frequent the forest.
- Grand River Conservation Authority protected property, along with surrounding farmland
- Front, east side and half of back side of property fenced and gated with farm fencing; fencing/posts here ready to complete the back property line; west side of property has neighbours rustic fencing with electric wire for their cows.
- 3 Mulberry trees provide abundant delicious berries
- Many wild black raspberry bushes around the perimeter of the forest
- Pig or goat enclosure in the rear forest, complete with shelter & natural water supply. Used to raise 2 Berkshire black pigs a few years ago for natural, home grown pork that only takes 7 months from weanling to butcher.
- Plenty of firewood for the wood stove on the property, or use the local supplier who delivers 6 face cords to the wood shed for $70/face cord.
- Fire pit for large bonfires any time of year!
- 12' x 20' ShelterLogic portable garage
- 10' x 20' board & batten firewood storage shed
- 4' x 10' board & batten chicken coop with automatic door which opens/closes according to the sun; with 3 Heritage breed Orpington hens if desired, they provide fresh deep-yellow yolked eggs every day (there really is a difference with free range eggs!); everyone who has chickens never fails to say how they love just watching them, they are great pets, they come running when called, eat many kitchen scraps & mostly take care of themselves, they are loads of fun and very little work with the current set up.
